The first Grazia magazine of the year has a preview of what to look out for in 2011. The Pile of Stuff at the Bottom of the Stairs is one of five reads recommended, illustrated by a sort of book cover mobile with its red blue artwork dangling beautifully.

I was in the supermarket on the glamorous shopping thoroughfare of London’s Holloway Road, feeling rather January joyless with three small children screaming for fruit strings and respectable people looking at me wih pity/judgment. To cheer myself up I picked up a copy of Grazia (Katie Holmes on the cover, my life could be so much worse) and I had the pleasant surprise of seeing m book on page 90. I did feel as though I was living a double life.
