The Bookseller of the 3rd December 2010 had a month-by-month round-up of forthcoming publications. Here’s what their previewer had to say about The Pile:
“Mary is fed up with her husband’s attitude to housework and childcare – leaving everything to her as she’s the one working part-time – so she creates a secret Excel version of a child’s behaviour chart and begins to log his every “fault” with unexpected consequences. An enjoyable and engaging read – I loved it – but amid the fun there’s some sharp-eyed comment about the way that having children can skewer a previously equal relationship. Really does merit comparison with the mega-selling I Don’t Know How She Does It and I think this one could be huge.”
